A 65-year-old female presented to the ED with a painful swollen left leg. On examination there is pitting oedema confined to the left leg, which is 4cm larger than the right leg. You are clinically suspicious of a DVT.

• Thrombus seen in the proximal left femoral vein.
• The common femoral vein and saphenofemoral junction are patent
