This module covers ocular trauma which is crucial both in terms of diagnosis and management. Identifying signs and symptoms is critical as visual outcome can depend on it. This session provides concise learning for the emergency physician. It will cover key points in common ocular trauma scenarios that the emergency physician may encounter.

  • Analyse the degree of injury sustained
  • Classify and categorise ocular trauma
  • Request appropriate investigations
  • Develop confidence in management of ocular trauma within the Emergency Department (ED)
