Case 1

A 79-year-old lady is brought into the ED by her neighbour who says she has been behaving strangely for 2 days. Her initial assessment reveals an unremarkable ABCDE examination. Glasgow coma score (GCS) is 14/15. Neurological examination demonstrates no lateralising signs. 4AT reveals an altered mental state with AMT score of 6/10 and a positive CAM. Her speech is slow.
