This module covers the assessment, treatment and management of patients presenting to an emergency department with anaphylaxis.

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Outline the optimal time to draw a mast cell tryptase level
  • Indicate what drugs can be used in a case of adrenaline resistant anaphylaxis
  • Indicate what treatments can be used for anaphylaxis caused by c1 esterase inhibitor deficiency
