Brugada syndrome is a congenital condition associated with sudden cardiac death. Patients can live for years without knowing they have the condition as well.

The aim of this session is to have a quick recap of Brugada syndrome, identify key ECG features for diagnosis and learn about managing patients with Brugada syndrome.

Learning objectives:

  • Recap Brugada syndrome
  • Understand the pathophysiology of Brugada syndrome
  • Identify key features of history taking and physical examination findings
  • Identify ECG changes and how to perform additional ECGs when in doubt
  • Be familiar with condition and medications that can exacerbate the condition
  • Know where to find more information when managing a patient with suspected/underlying Brugada syndrome.
