Examples of typical fractures are:
Impacted fracture
The x-ray shows an example of an impacted fracture of the neck of the femur that was missed.
Note that:
- Shentons line is not smooth
- Sclerosis in the neck of the femur
Undisplaced fracture
The x-ray shows an example of an undisplaced fracture that was missed.
Note the step in the cortex of the neck of femur laterally.
