Clinical Case 3

A 37-year-old woman is brought into ED resus by ambulance following a witnessed seizure at home 6 days after having had a normal vaginal birth.    

Her partner reported she had been complaining of a headache in the last few days but was otherwise well and had no other past medical history.

Observations on arrival:

BP 165/100

RR 20

Sats 100% on 15L non-rebreather 

Temp 36.1°C

Alert to voice

As you are receiving handover from the paramedics, she has a further generalised tonic-clonic seizure.
