A 76-year-old lady is brought in referred with confusion by the GP. She arrives by car with her family and on arrival she is drowsy but rousable, GCS 14. She has been treated for a UTI for the last week, she had a background of IHD, HTN and diabetes.
The initial observations show: HR 110, RR 18, T37.8, BP132/96, Sats 98% air, she appears dehydrated.
