Case Study

A 32-year-old female was cleaning the top shelf whilst standing on the kitchen unit surface. She tripped and fell on one leg, her perineum area catching against the edge of a kitchen unit before she landed on the floor. She presented to the ED with vaginal bleeding.

On examination, there was a laceration through her labia. She also complained of right groin pain and was unable to straight leg raise on her right side. A pelvic X-ray was undertaken.
