This online learning session is intended for Educational Supervisors who will be providing the final sign-off for ACPs credentialing on the 2017 ACP curriculum in Spring or Autumn 2024. To undertake this role, completion of RCEM ACP Supervisor training (2017 curriculum) is mandatory. Educational Supervisors must also be on the GMC Specialist Register in Emergency Medicine and be employed as a substantive EM consultant.

If an ACP is credentialing in children only, the Educational Supervisor will be eligible to undertake this role if they meet the above criteria or, alternatively, are on the Specialist Register in Paediatrics (with PEM), are a Member of the RCPCH and are employed as a substantive consultant in a Paediatric Emergency Department.

All Educational Supervisors must be a GMC-recognised trainer or be able to provide evidence that they have been identified as a supervisor within their Trust.

This learning session consists of seven short videos (modules) which were recorded during a live virtual training session. It is recommended that this training is undertaken in conjunction with reading the curriculum and the Guide to RCEM EM-ACP Credentialing which are available on the College website here

If you have any questions regarding the 2017 ACP curriculum or credentialing, please contact the RCEM ACP team at ACP@rcem.ac.uk.
